Korë'cuepë, Maiden's Bay: the white-sanded bay of the western approaches, named in the old tongue for a maiden the stories have since misplaced. Half the coast tells one tale, half another, and the bay keeps its own counsel, being busy with the light. It is the prettiest anchorage in the west and knows it; sailors mistrust it exactly as much as prettiness deserves, and anchor there anyway.
