Thornback
A ridge-running river of middle Tarkdaara Place Northland The northern continent of Elshore, called Northland in common speech, on which every chapter of the story so far unfolds. that follows a hogback of dark stone for most of its length, crossed by thorn-scrub the whole way. Travellers see the ridge and the river braided together from a day off and learn the name before anyone says it.
