Southern Erg
The violet-skinned Erg of the Frozen Highlands, nomadic tribal confederations who were never absorbed into any empire. They keep the ancient path-rites and the name-bound order of their tribes, cold-eyed and exact, every movement chosen and earned.
Key traits
- Purple to deep violet skin, sometimes marked by faint tonal banding.
- Sharper features than their northern kin: higher cheekbones, a narrower nose, strong contrast around the eyes.
- A cold discipline that shrugs off the bite of hunger, fatigue, and the high ice.
- Endurance concentrated for survival on the glacial valleys and tundra plateaus of the far south.
- Free confederations of seven tribes who meet at the old ruins to settle matters by consensus.
- Keepers of Tir-Kul'ei Faith Tir-Kul'ei The Deep Remembering, the shamanic practice of the free Highland Ergs of the Frozen Highlands., the Deep Remembering, and of the long lone path-walk that earns a name.
- A natural lifespan of roughly 60 to 70 years; a clipped, consonant-dense voice tuned for command.
- Engineered as administrators and enforcers; the people-name Erg means "perfection." Titles are earned, never claimed.
